Rachel and Julianne's Special Project

We've been very proud supporters of Rachel and Julianne's Special Project for a few seasons now, and we're thrilled to say that our pins and magnets are now available!

Rachel and Julianne started this heartwarming project with the initial goal of raising $100 for the Janeway. After much success, they surpassed their expectations and raised $8000 their first year. In total, the girls have raised over $20,000, amazing!

They were featured on NTV's "Made right here" with Danielle Butt, take a look!

They're both so well-spoken and adorable.

The Annual Christmas Parade is a reminder that Christmas is just around the corner! It's time to finish (or start) your shopping! Only 27 sleeps!

One of the best things about fall in this city is downtown at night. The best nights are spent walking around with friends, with several layers and a hot beverage to keep you warm. 


TAX FREE night is a perfect opportunity for that. You can grab a beverage, and pop by the shop for good deals! Get an early start at your Christmas shopping.

Glerups is a small company derived from the founder, "Nanny" Glerup. What started as a hobby in 1993 became a project, and she began distributing them among friends and family. They are now manufactured in Transylvania and sold throughout Denmark. 

We love these. They're perfect to wear around the house (especially if you have hardwood or tile)

-washed in lime-free water

-trimmed, edged, and fitted soles in calf

Maintaning: Wool has the ability to clean itself. Just let your shoes have air and rest, and they will keep fresh.

Washing: You can wash your shoes by hand in warm soap. Use ordinary powder or, if they are spots of fat, liquid soap. Leave them in the water for 15 minutes. Rub them clean. Rinse out the soap and spin-dry. Put your feet in the moist shoes, and pad them into shape. (the wool washing mode is at own risk)

These would make a perfect Christmas present!

On the topic of Remembrance day, 


The production of wellington boots dramatically increased due to the advent of WW1 when Hunter (then called North British Rubber Company) was asked by the War Office to construct a sturdy boot suitable for trench conditions. You can imagine the impact they had on the soldiers! Without proper foot protection, many suffered "trench foot" which could have meant amputation if left untreated. 


When they were called once again in WW2, 80% of the production of wellies was for war materials. They were an essential.
